Motorola India has rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for its flagship Moto Z smartphone. The company previously promised that its Moto Z handset will get Nougat update sometime in the fourth quarter of this year, and keeping its promise, Motorola has released the same at the year’s end.

Last month, the Lenovo-owned company had announced that its Moto Z’s and Moto Z Force’s users are now able to update their smartphones to Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The company has earlier rolled out the same update for the Verizon-exclusive Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Droid Force handsets in US, while, this time the company has globally allowed its users to install the update.

 

How to install Android 7.0 Nougat update to your Motorola Device

If you have not received a notification message for this update, follow the steps below to manually update your phone:
  • Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.
  • Select “About phone”.
  • Select “System updates”.
  • Select “Yes, I’m in”. After the software is downloaded, select “Install now”.
  • After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
  • Your phone is now updated.
If you have received a notification message for this update:
  • Select “Yes, I’m in”.
  • After the software is downloaded, select “Install now”.
  • After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
  • Your phone is now updated.

If you are still unable to update your smartphone with the latest update, there’s no need to panic, as the OTA process are carried in phases and it might take some time to reach all corners of the world.

Talking about the camera setup in detail, the 13MP rear camera has an aperture of f/1.8, zero shutter lag, optical image stabilisation, a dual LED flash and laser auto-focus. The front 5MP camera is shared with the Moto Z Play and Motorola claims has improved low light capabilities.
