One of TomTom’s highly popular European models, the TomTom XL Live is getting ready to come out in the U.S. The new model just passed all the tests FCC could throw at them.
U.S. version of the TomTom XL Live will work on GSM850 and GSM1900 bands, come with a 1100mAh battery, and have a slim form factor. Everything else being the same TomTom will also release TomTom XL Live TTS which will offer text-to-speech functionality.
That’s really all the information we can get since all their FCC documents including test setup photos are under a confidentiality agreement.
