Sony Ericsson Yari, also known as Sony Ericsson U100a, just made it through FCC filings meaning it will be entering the U.S. market relatively soon. The new Yari is a slider phone with a keypad that carries a GPS receiver. One of the highlights of Yari however is actually the gesture controls which apparently will make your games a whole lot more fun – something developed by GestureTek.
The Yari runs UMTS Bands 1, 2, and 5, and GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900. It comes with a 5MP camera with flash, a separate camera for video calls, stereo speakers, bluetooth, WiFi, and a microSD memory expansion slot. The screen measures 2.4 inches – offers 240×320 pixel resolution, and it holds a 1000mAh battery.
Sorry but we have no information on a solid date or a price just yet.
