We wish we could have a few things to say about Garmin’s new G3000. But since no staff member flys or owns a jet here at Navigadget we – just like you – are just staring at the pics and thinking how awesome it would be to use one of these things.
Garmin G3000 is a the first touchscreen-controlled integrated flightdeck for light turbine aircraft says the press release.
Some features of G3000 include:
- icon-driven interface
- 5.7-inch diagonal touchscreen controller
- infrared touchscreen technology with audio and visual feedback
- 14.1-inch diagonal WXGA high resolution primary flight displays (PFD) and multi-function display (MFD)
- three-axis, fully digital, dual channel, fail passive auto flight system
Garmin expects to be certified for G3000 in the second half of 2011.
