This is great for when you're stuck in traffic and looking for an escape. we were on our way home from hartford and it told us there was a traffic jam in New Haven CT. we were re-routed around it through New Haven city streets and could see on occasion the traffic was a parking lot. we were thankful we had it. i have heard some people have had issues with it but, so far so good.

The product is of good quality. I prefer because it does tell you traffic and it will reroute so you
can get to the destination the quickest way. However I have to say that in order to get a good signal you have to place the silver square receiver on the dash board in order to work. Otherwise the device is works flawlessly.

This little item works great in the big cities. Nice to be able to have traffic at your fingertips. Has some advertisements but is worth the $$.
Traffic for life and on your NEXT one too

This works as advertised on my Magellan 4700. I have owned a 760 with traffic and an 860T which required annual subscriptions for $40/year. In exchange for small and NOT INTRUSIVE advertising, this works forever for about the same price. This works on our 1470 too! I buy a new Magellan GPS every year as it is the only way to get the newest maps and I expect this traffic link to be used on the next one as well. Also, after I installed the latest firmware update, the installation did not go as the installation proceedure said it would; instead, it was 100% fully automatic; I did not have to activate or turn on anything for this to work; I only had to plug it in and power up the unit.
Worked Great in Las Vegas

I purchased the Magellan Traffic Link for a planned conference in Las Vegas. Since I did not know the area, I wanted to be able to navigate the traffic w/o relying on the radio, etc. The Traffic Link worked great. I was able to get notifications about costruction and detour, with time delay updates. We were even bold enough to take a side trip to Los Angeles, and then San Diego, and back to Las Vegas. I would recommend this for anyone with a Magellan unit. I have a Magellan RoadMate 1340 which worked much better than my Garmin.
