Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 in India for Rs.48000
The IdeaCentre might be Lenovo's "star of the show" at CES 2009. This thin all-in one PC has an interesting design in which most of the components are placed into the bottom of the computer, allowing the display itself to appear thinner than other all-in-one competitors (Lenovo claims that it is the "Thinnest all-in-one PC").

It comes with a Lenovo keyboard complete with a touchpad, but the second hero in this announcement is Lenovo's Motion Drive Remote that is also a VOIP handset, an "air mouse" (moves the cursor with hand gestures) a game controller and a (Media Center) remote, of course. We wonder if Lenovo will sell it as a stand-alone device. Highlights
The IdeaCentre A600 will compete with Apple iMac and HP TouchSmart PCs. The PC has 16:9 aspect ratio format, 21.5-inch (1920x1080) HD panel, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, up to 1TB HDD and optional ATI Radeon Graphics. Other optional hardware include Blu-ray DVD player, TV tuner and remote control. The package price starts from $1,000 (Rs. 48,600).
The Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 features a 21.5 inch widescreen HD display, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, processing comes in the form of Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs, with a choice of various models.
Memory comes in the form of 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and up to 1TB of HDD storage, there is also the option to add ATI Radeon graphics cards, there are no details on which models are available with the Lenovo IdeaCentre A600.
There is also an optional remote which can be used for Media Centre or as game controller, or as an air mouse and a VoIP handset for Skype and other VoIP calls.
The Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 is scheduled to go on sale in March, with a starting price of $999, which seems pretty competitive considering the specs and the HD display.
The A600 has curve that holds HD panel upfront and that makes it different from iMac and HP TouchSmart comparisons. Featuring Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an option for ATI Radeon series graphics with DirectX support can offer better HD movies and gaming experience.
Dolby Home Theatre audio certification and speaker system including bass sub-woofer are integrated in A600 to work with optional Blu-ray DVD player. Microsoft Vista Media Center operating system can be opted for watching, navigating and recording TV programs using optional digital TV tuner card.
Optional four-in-one remote control in A600 has Nintendo Wii-like accelerometer and can also be used as game controller. Alternatively, the remote can also be used as a VoIP headset and free gesture or air mouse. The A600 also has 6-in1 multimedia card reader, side-mounted USB, and, of course, it packs Lenovo's VeriFace facial recognition technology software.
